NAIOP stands for the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties. Founded in 1967, NAIOP is a trade association with over 11,000 members who are developers, owners, investors and related professionals in industrial and office real estate in 49 Chapters across the U.S. and Canada.
Members of the 49 NAIOP Chapters have great opportunities at the local level to enhance their business through educational programs, networking and government affairs. The Silicon Valley Chapter, we take pride in our excellent variety of luncheon programs and in our involvement in local government affairs. NAIOP Silicon Valley works to improve the business opportunities for the entire commercial real estate industry of the high tech capital of the world.
Members can also get involved at the national level - by attending conferences for continuing education, participating in national forums for professional development and working to advance legislative initiatives like real estate taxation issues on Capitol Hill.
THE forum for commercial real estate both locally and nationally, NAIOP promotes effective public policy through its grassroots network to create, protect and enhance property values. Locally, NAIOP Silicon Valley played a major role in securing the expansion of San Jose International Airport, a vital transportation link for high tech industrial tenants.
NAIOP offers education programs, research on trends and innovations, networking opportunities and strong legislative representation. Our members are the principle players who shape the industry. If you're involved in industrial and/or office properties, you're invited to join NAIOP to learn, to grow and to meet and form new relationships with NAIOP members.
